The QA Director will manage a small QA team of 5+ engineers, report directly to the CTO and can be based in our New York OR our San Jose office
Responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of the overall product quality for AdSonar system
• Define QA strategy including automation, regression and load & performance testing
• Design and implement all phases of testing using manual and automation tools for regression, functional, performance, load and performance
• Create and maintain test plans and test specifications
• Perform manual and automated tests, record bugs, and verify fixes as necessary
• Partner with the Engineering and Operations teams on tool development, performance optimization and debugging
• Communicate consistently and regularly on the quality of the product
• Define and track QA metrics including code coverage, overall quality and performance
• Document and implement QA standards, processes and methodologies

• Manage and mentor a small, talented QA team in New York City and San Jose, CA

Requirements:

• 3+ years managing the testing of enterprise software or consumer internet applications
• 5+ years testing complex enterprise Java applications on Unix/Linux including both front end UI and backend server components
• Hands on experience in white box testing including Java API testing and Java open source test tools including: JUnit, EasyMock, Selenium and JMeter
• Expertise in building test automation frameworks, performance benchmark suites, and QA processes and procedures
• Proficiency in SQL (Oracle)
• Experience with open source build and QA tools including Ant, Cruise Control, Bugzilla, and CVS

• Basic understanding of Tomcat/Apache, Linux, Database/ETL
