Vice President – Sales/Business Development
at Fix 8 in Sherman Oaks, CA
Compensation: low 100Ks + commission structure and equity options, med/dental coverage
Location: Sherman Oaks, CA
Multinational (incredibly fun) Startup Digital Media Software company located in the San Fernando Valley is seeking an aggressive VP of Sales/Biz Dev who can spearhead sales and business development for the company. This Senior Management Professional must have 10+years digital media experience and eager to head up sales in this startup venture.
Qualifications include but not limited to:
• Successful track record of managing and CLOSING targeted accounts.
• A strong network of high level contacts in the digital media space which spans across portals, instant messengers, social networks, video sharing sites, gaming companies (online and offline), and advertising agencies.
• Proven expertise in managing and mentoring an organization.
• Past experience in managing against annual/quarterly budgets and posting strong sales results over company sales targets.
• The candidate must be able to describe situations in which he/she has:
-Prospected and/or uncovered sales opportunities in target accounts
-Presented complex products in a simple and targeted manner that provided value to the customer and led to successful closings.
-Demonstrated exceptional skill at managing and developing relationships with multiple high value accounts.
• Creative and resourceful problem solver with an ability to effectively solve problems on own.
• Ability to energize support for a compelling and inspired vision or sense of core purpose.
• Draft cohesive sales/biz dev strategies while concurrently able to roll up the sleeves and execute on such strategy.
• The applicant must be able to demonstrate excellence in:
-Both oral and written communication.
-Working in, contributing to and facilitating a team environment.
• A technology background is a plus
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Establish and deliver on a sales strategy, revenue targets and individual team member goals that meets the company’s strategic goals as determined by management.
• Work synergistically with marketing to ensure strategic goals are achieved and client expectations are met.
• Develop and enhance each individual Sales team member’s business approach to managing his/her assigned customer base and sales territories.
• Create, manage and control budget/expenses through effective budget development and monitoring management.
• Serve as senior management for the organization and an integral part of the company’s overall strategy, leadership and execution.
