Responsibilities
We’re looking for someone who can design, architect and implement the site’s e-Commerce infrastructure. This includes (and is not limited to): Our interaction with various payment systems (e.g. Cybersource, Paypal, etc) Our interaction with vendors for submitting and checking the status of customer’s orders (e.g. from ftp to web services) Support for our customer facing shopping cart infrastructure and billing history Reporting & accounting tools Overtime, we are expecting the successful candidate to mentor more junior engineers in order to grow the e-commerce features of the site well beyond where they stand today.

Requirements
The candidate has at least 7 years worth of experience working with Java, in particular with JDBC and networking protocols (from FTP, HTTP all the way up to SOAP). In addition he has proven expertise dealing with a SQL database at large scale (MySQL preferred) including understanding and knowledge of transaction log based replication.

This position will require coding the stack of software from JDBC all the way up to the Ajax calls as specified by our web development team. Know how in optimizing that stack from Tomcat all the way down to MySQL indices is a requirement.

Experience with client side technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) a plus.
