We are looking for a talented Database Administrator to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
Administer production DB instances (all PostgreSQL)
Administer pre-production DB instances
Be on-call rotation (2nd level, supports operations first responders).
Work with operations to scale production DB instances and surrounding

Requirements:
Production, HA, scalable RDBMS Administration experience at still-existing company
Unix, preferably Linux experience
Shell or perl scripting experience
SQL authoring and tuning experience
Experience within or interacting with operations teams
Experience within or interacting with product development teams
Applied knowledge of DBA best practices and concepts
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Great sense of humor, particularly during production crises

Preferred:
If no PostgreSQL experience, qualified candidate must possess production experience in at least 2 other RDBMSs, one of which must be Oracle.

Application level architectural experience
DB scripting (PL/pgSQL)
Object/relational modeling
JDBC
