We’re a VC funded startup with a small team whose mission is to bring diversity of reporting and opinion to everyone.

Our goal is to create a global community that shares news, videos, images and opinions tied to events and people that have impact.

We’re looking for an experienced Rails developer to join the core development team, and make a major contribution to our developing service

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in software development with a track record of delivering
• have developed high availability, reliable systems in a 24×7 context
• first class team spirit
• can effectively multi-task competing priorities
• self starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills

• stand behind your code and won’t hesitate to provide production support

Technical skills:

• 1+ year Ruby on Rails, or an appetite to learn it, backed with expert level java/c++ or other OO language
• HTML, CSS, JSON, and Javascript
• Hands on experience with Ajax
• Experience with MySQL

• Familiar with the Apache / Mongrel / Linux stack
