full time Amazing Software Engineering Intern (Fall/Spring)

Rapleaf (http://www.rapleaf.com) is a well-funded San Francisco startup (currently at 15 people). We gather publicly available information from the social web on hundreds of millions of people. Rapleaf has built the largest portable social graph in the world. We provide rich insight on customers for clients such as retailers, airlines, hotel chains, social networks, lead gen firms, telcos, political campaigns, and more; these clients learn about their consumers in order to give them a better user experience.

Role:
- Help build out Rapleaf’s next set of groundbreaking features
- Build algorithms to normalize data on over a hundred million people
- Solve super complex engineering problems no one else in the world is working on
- Change the world

Note: This job is really hard. You’ll be working with some of the top search engineers in the world and they are going to expect that you to excel. We’re doing things that no one has ever done before and solving problems that have been open for years.

Qualifications:
- Currently an undergrad or grad student
- Looking for part-time (if located in the Bay Area) or a fulltime internship
- One of the best computer science/engineering students within your peer group
- Amazing coder who takes no prisoners. Master of all things Internet. One of the best coders in existence
- Gifted critical thinker who can learn new languages, platforms, extremely fast. Ruby on Rails. You can pick this up quickly
- Intensely driven and proactive person
- Quick learner and real doer. Err on execution over strategy
- Likeable person who garners respect on and off the job.
- Thrive on chaos, risk, and uncertainty.
- Should be easy to get along with, nice, fun, smart, ethical, and low-maintenance
- Strong desire to build a more ethical society

Location:
- Downtown San Francisco, CA (Mission and 3rd)

Compensation/Perks:
- This is a paid internship
- School credit available
